The semiconductor industry is experiencing this week a historic convergence of geopolitical and commercial forces: South Korea's Samsung and SK Group are securing a key role in the Western AI ecosystem with ~$950 billion in US deals, while the Samsung-Broadcom foundry deal is seriously challenging TSMC's quasi-monopoly in 2nm for the first time.
