The German Red Cross and Youth Red Cross demand mandatory first aid competencies, layperson resuscitation, and health education as a fixed curriculum in schools – currently severely underrepresented. This demand addresses massive care gaps in emergencies and insufficient citizen competency in the population. Implementation would have significant impacts on training offerings from DRK, Johanniter, Malteser, and Aicher.

First aid deployments at major events are escalating: Aicher Ambulanz recorded over 120 emergency care interventions at Oktoberfest, primarily injuries to extremities, fainting spells, and collapses. Security personnel had to undergo special self-defense training for the first time – new trend for event security. Shows growing demands on rapid response capacities.
